Project Overview

This project is located on the rooftop terrace of a private residence in the United States. The homeowner wanted to transform an unused rooftop area into a comfortable outdoor living space where family and friends could gather, enjoy meals, and spend quality time together.

The goal was to create a functional and stylish rooftop retreat that combined outdoor cooking, dining, and relaxation. XIAOZHU provided a complete outdoor solution, including a customized stainless steel outdoor kitchen, WPC decking, and outdoor furniture, turning the rooftop into an inviting extension of the home.

Client Requirements

The client wanted more than just a simple rooftop terrace. They envisioned a multifunctional outdoor space where they could enjoy barbecue gatherings, family dinners, and casual conversations with friends.

A key requirement was an outdoor kitchen equipped with essential cooking functions, including a built-in grill and sink, while also providing enough counter space and storage for daily use.

Since the rooftop would be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, all materials needed to be durable, easy to maintain, and suitable for long-term outdoor applications.

Our Solution

Based on the client's lifestyle requirements and rooftop layout, XIAOZHU designed a customized outdoor kitchen system using high-quality 304 stainless steel.

The outdoor kitchen combines functional storage cabinets, a built-in barbecue grill, and an integrated sink to create a complete cooking area. To maximize the available space, we designed a customized L-shaped configuration by connecting the outdoor cabinets with a corner bar counter, forming a practical 90-degree layout.

This design not only improves the efficiency of the cooking area but also creates a social space where family members and guests can sit around the bar counter while enjoying outdoor meals and conversations.

For the countertop and working area, the design focuses on durability and easy maintenance, ensuring the kitchen can withstand outdoor conditions while maintaining a clean and modern appearance.

For the terrace flooring, we selected premium WPC decking as the foundation of the outdoor space. Compared with traditional wood, WPC decking offers excellent weather resistance, requires minimal maintenance, and avoids common issues such as cracking, warping, and frequent upkeep. Its natural wood texture also adds warmth and comfort to the modern rooftop design.

To complete the outdoor experience, carefully selected outdoor furniture was added to create comfortable seating and dining areas. The combination of outdoor kitchen, decking, and furniture transforms the rooftop into a complete lifestyle space rather than just a functional terrace.
